Students can explore fields such as criminal justice, law enforcement, corrections, firefighting, emergency response, and public safety administration. Through classroom instruction and hands-on learning, students build critical thinking, leadership, communication, and technical skills that can lead to continued education and careers with public agencies, emergency services, and related organizations.
Criminal Justice
Interested in law enforcement, public safety, and making a difference in your community? Criminal Justice prepares students to understand the systems, people, and processes involved in maintaining public safety and administering justice.
Students explore the three major components of the criminal justice system—law enforcement, courts, and corrections—while studying areas such as crime prevention and criminal justice practices. The program also develops critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills that can lead to entry-level career opportunities in law enforcement, corrections, public safety, and other criminal justice-related fields or provide a foundation for continued education.


Fire and Emergency Services
Committed to protecting lives, responding in times of crisis, and serving your community? Fire and Emergency Services prepares students for careers and advancement opportunities in fire service, emergency response, and public safety organizations.
Students build knowledge and skills in emergency response, fire protection systems, safety management, leadership, public policy, and emergency services administration while learning practices aligned with nationally recognized professional standards. Designed for both individuals entering the public safety field and current first responders seeking career advancement, the program can lead to opportunities in fire services, fire inspection, emergency services management, public safety administration, and related roles within government, industry, and emergency response organizations.
Fire Service Technology
Interested in firefighting, emergency response, and protecting your community? Fire Service Technology provides students with a foundation in the technical skills and practices used to prevent, respond to, and manage fire-related emergencies.
Students learn about fire behavior, fire suppression techniques, hazardous materials, fire prevention and inspection, building construction, emergency services safety, and fire service leadership. The program prepares students to pursue or advance in career opportunities with local, state, and federal firefighting agencies, industrial safety departments, emergency management organizations, and other fire and public safety services.
